# Your domain names

The **Domains** section of your client area shows the domain names you have taken with Simafri, including the one offered with your web hosting. It belongs to the account owner.

The domain included with a Serenity site is managed with the site: the [Serenity documentation](https://docs.simafri.com/en/serenity/domaine/) covers it.

## What each domain shows

* **Expires**, the domain's expiry date;
* its status: **Active**, **Being set up**, **Suspended** or **Expired**;
* the **Transfer this domain elsewhere** block.

## Renewal

Before the expiry date, the domain's renewal proforma reaches you by email and appears in **Billing**. Once it is paid, the domain renews by itself: there is nothing else for you to do.

The domain offered for the first year with a web hosting plan then renews at the domain's rate, in the same way.

## Transferring a domain to another provider

Your domain belongs to you, and you can move it at any time before its expiry date:

1. In **Domains**, find the **Transfer this domain elsewhere** block.
2. Copy the **Authorization code (EPP)**.
3. Give it to your new provider, who starts the transfer.

If the code is not shown yet, click **Contact us**: our team sends it to you.

## Managing your domain's DNS

* **With Simafri web hosting**: in your control panel, **Account Manager** section, then **DNS Management** (see [VPS and web hosting](/en/espace-client/vps-et-hebergement-web.md)).
* **With Simafri Suite**: the **Simafri Suite** section shows, under **Mail routing**, the records to add to receive your mail, and their status.

## Ordering a domain name

From the **Our services** section of your space, **Domain names** family, or with a web hosting plan, which offers one for the first year. To transfer to Simafri a domain you hold elsewhere, write to [support](/en/espace-client/support.md).
