# Your mail

Mail opens at [suite.simafri.com](https://suite.simafri.com/), **Mails** app. The left rail lists your mailboxes and their folders; the middle list holds the conversations; reading happens on the right.

## The six folders

| **Sent**    | what has left this mailbox                              |
| **Drafts**  | what you have started writing                           |
| **Archive** | what you have put away, and that stays searchable       |
| **Spam**    | what filtering set aside, or what you reported          |
| **Trash**   | what you throw away, deleted for good after thirty days |

Filing applies to the whole **conversation**: archiving a thread also files the replies that arrive later. "Move back to inbox" brings it back.

## Writing

**New message** opens the composer; a reply picks up the recipients of the thread's last message. You have copies (**Cc**), blind copies (**Bcc**) and **forwarding**, which carries the attachments along.

Your signature is set in **Mail settings**, per mailbox.

## Searching

The search field sweeps the subject, the text, the sender and the names of attached files, across the whole mailbox. Messages left in the trash stay findable until they are deleted for good.

## A mailbox's other names

A mailbox can answer to several addresses. In **Mail settings**, **This mailbox's other names** adds an alias: mail sent to `contact@yourcompany.com` then arrives in the same mailbox, with no second password and no second setup.

## A mailbox read by several people

A shared mailbox, such as `contact@`, can be entrusted to several people. Each of them sees it in their own rail, and **read and unread stays personal**: marking a message as read does not clear it for your colleagues.

The mailbox screen shows who reads it and records every change, with its date and its author.

## What a mailbox sends each day

These values protect your domain's sending reputation. For a larger need, one-off or lasting, write to <support@simafri.com>: the limit is raised on your account.

## When the plan is reached

**Your mail keeps arriving**, and nothing is deleted. A banner warns you well before, then offers to free up room or to move up a plan. See [Storage and billing](/en/suite/stockage-et-facturation.md).
