# Billing and renewal

## Monthly or yearly

Your VPS Ultra is paid **monthly**, or **yearly**: you then pay for eleven months and enjoy twelve. No setup fee is added. The prices of each size, excluding tax, are on the [VPS Ultra page](https://www.simafri.com/en/vps-ultra/). With Windows Server, the licence is added to the subscription.

Your proformas, your invoices and your credit notes are in the **Billing** section of your client area [my.simafri.com](https://my.simafri.com/), where you pay them online or view the payment instructions (see [Invoices and payments](https://docs.simafri.com/en/espace-client/facturation/)).

## Renewal

Your subscription renews itself, for the same duration:

1. **Before the due date**, the renewal proforma reaches you by email and appears in **Billing**: seven days before for a monthly subscription, thirty days before for a yearly subscription.
2. **As the due date approaches**, a reminder reaches you if it is still unpaid.
3. Paid before the due date, it extends your service without the slightest interruption.

## If a renewal is still unpaid

The day after an unpaid due date, your server is suspended: it shuts down cleanly, and a "Your ... service is suspended" email informs you.

**Everything is kept**: your system, your files, your databases, your IPv4 address. As soon as your payment is received, your server **restarts on its own**, just as you left it, and an email tells you that it has been reactivated.

A service that remains suspended without payment is deleted, along with its data: an email warns you seven days beforehand. If your payment is taking time, write to us beforehand: we find the solution with you.

## Changing size

* **To a larger size**: at any time, without reinstalling, in the time it takes to reboot; the new rate applies from the date of the change.
* **To a smaller size**: the change takes effect the following month.

## Ending your VPS Ultra

To stop your subscription, write to support before your next due date.

Your data belongs to you: retrieve it before the end of your contract. On request made before the end of the contract, our team also gives you a copy of your server's latest backup. At the end of the contract, the server and its backups are deleted, and its IPv4 address returns to Simafri.

## Frequently asked questions

### Can I switch from a monthly to a yearly subscription?

Yes: write to support before your next due date, and your renewal is made for a year, with its free month.

### My payment has been sent, but my server is still suspended.

It restarts as soon as your payment is recorded. For a bank transfer or a mobile payment, reply to the suspension email with your payment reference: our team matches it to your proforma.
